Originally recorded in 1997, the CD was finally released in 1999 when Talamasca performed a final live concert as part of Fetish Masquerade in Toronto. The band's version of tainted Love received a ton of airplay on goth radio and goth DJ's spun the track continuously at Toronto and Montreal bars & clubs. The song was also included in the soundtrack of a documentary about the Canadian Goth scene.
