Hurt my dog once and saw the fear in his poor little eyes... I felt pain and ashamed at the realisation that for him I am God: I decide when he's happy, I can decide to make him sad, I feed him, etc... That somehow turned into a totally hilarious & ironic song about hate and violence... Fighting fire with fire... Musically it was inspired by one of my faves: Ministry. They are the true creators of the industrial music revolution. It is so difficult to create something completely new in music... These guys were pioneers. Trent Reznor just commerciallized the music with catchy hooks and danceable beats. Don't get me wrong I love NIN as well but Ministry wrote the book.
